Collective Progression in Practice
For the Black community, harm shows up in many forms—and so must our response. At People of Progression, we hold healing as both a practice and a pathway, supporting individual needs while advancing programs and community events that address the conditions that limit safety, stability, and self-affirmation. This work is about collective progression—building care, restoring dignity, and moving forward together.

Youth Programs
Young people deserve spaces intentionally created for them—places where safety is real, creativity is encouraged, and their abilities are honored. Our youth empowerment programs are created specifically for teens and young adults, providing opportunities to explore their identities and grow through mentorship, peer connections, life skills training, cultural grounding, and healing-centered experiences.
Black Leaders ActiviZing Excellence (BLAZE)
BLAZE is for young people to gain knowledge, certifications, and confidence while learning how to support their peers, reduce harm, and create positive ripple effects within their communities. They co-create environments for team building, collaboration, and healthy peer relationships as they rise as leaders and join a movement rooted in care, accountability, and justice.
Generational Guidance Group (G3)
Generational Guidance Group (G3) is a community coalition that brings people of all ages and sectors together to strengthen safety and wellness for and with young people. G3 offers advisory on issues like violence prevention and tobacco prevention while helping shape community strategies. We welcome volunteers from all ages to join us in creating a safer, healthier future.

MENtorship Rising
We believe mentorship is how we grow strong together. When adults show up for young people, confidence takes root, identity is affirmed, and new possibilities open—for both mentor and mentee. MENtorship Rising creates space for meaningful relationships that connect generations and strengthen our community. Step into this work and help shape a future where we all rise.
Referring Agency Form
We encourage our partners and local organizations to refer students to our youth services & programming.

Financial Literacy and Wealth Building
6-week Home-Buyers Education and Credit Building Course
Building wealth doesn’t happen in isolation—it grows through knowledge, support, and shared opportunity. This course supports first-time Black homebuyers as they strengthen credit, increase access to fair lenders, and prepare for homeownership with clarity and confidence.
Participants gain practical tools, learn from others with lived experience, and have space to ask questions—without judgment—while moving toward homeownership at their own pace.

Garden Together
Community Building
Our community garden is a space for collective care, food justice in action, and carrying forward the wisdom of our ancestors—who were skilled growers and stewards of the land. We come together to grow fresh food, strengthen relationships, and build a future rooted in access, dignity, and nourishment.
Harvest Day
Each August, we gather to bring in the fruits of our labor—fresh vegetables grown by our community, for our community. Harvest Day is more than tending to the garden; it’s a time to honor collective work, share food, and strengthen our connections.
Community Events
People of Progression holds several community events throughout the year. New events will be added here. Check our calendar regularly for the most up-to-date details.
